South Central Idaho

Living in Magic Valley

The Magic Valley follows the Snake River across south-central Idaho, from Hagerman, Gooding, and Bliss through Jerome, Twin Falls, Kimberly, and Buhl, then east to Rupert, Heyburn, Burley, and Minidoka County. Irrigation from the river and reservoirs is what the “magic” in the name referred to.

Homes and inventory

Twin Falls holds the largest share of listings. Jerome, Kimberly, Filer, Buhl, and Hansen add in-town and rim-adjacent homes. East of the canyon, Rupert, Heyburn, and Burley have their own in-town stock and surrounding farm ground. Hagerman listings are thinner and often include river or canyon property.

Getting around

I-84 runs along the north side of the valley through Jerome and Burley. US-93 drops south across Perrine Bridge into Twin Falls. US-30 follows the river west toward Hagerman and east toward Burley. Mountain Home sits west of the Magic Valley on I-84.
